My girls are my everything. Roxie and Lani don’t just help me mentally, but they also provide me with so much love and laughter. Their love is unconditional and I would do anything for them. Although they have four paws and fur, they are my daughters and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My heart is breaking right now because our Roxie girl is very sick. I wouldn’t normally write a post like this, but I feel at such a loss and I would do anything to help my daughter however I can. And both of my girls are a huge part of my M.U.D. Life.
On January 7th, Roxie had her very first seizure. We rushed her to down to the Emergency Room at the animal hospital. They checked her out and said she was fine, all her vitals were good, and just to monitor her. It might never happen again. And for a few weeks, life went back to normal.
But then Roxie started acting differently. She started losing her balance and falling over. Our little girl who was always a whirlwind of energy became very lethargic. She started begging for food more. But, there were no seizures, so we were just monitoring her like the Emergency Room doctor told us to.
Yesterday (Thursday, February 22) she had another seizure. We took her to her regular doctor and they did a full evaluation along with a full blood work up. Everything came back normal. They suggested we get a Neurology consult as something was clearly going on with Roxie.
Early this morning, (Friday, February 23) at 1am she had another seizure. We rushed her down to the Emergency Room. Again, they checked her out and everything seemed fine. We were again told she needs a Neurology consult to figure out what is going on with her.
All night she slept, my husband left for work, and then this morning about two hours ago she had another seizure. That’s two seizures within a matter of hours.
We have zero credit cards and can’t qualify for any type of credit cards. All of our money in the bank is going to pay bills. We owe over $400 at the Emergency Animal Hospital already and have no idea how we are going to pay that, and Baby Girl needs to see a Neurologist so we can figure out what is going on with her and so we can make her happy, healthy, and comfortable again.
We have had 8 amazing years with our Roxie girl full of love, laughter and light. We would love to have another 8 more. Please, if you can find it in your heart, please help us. Every little bit helps. We just want to get our Baby Girl healthy again.
My husband setup a GoFundMe page for Roxie if you are interested and able to help us out. The link is below. And even if you can’t, please keep her in your prayers. Thank you.
