Trail Ride & Positive Vibes

Recently, my husband and I have gotten into bike riding.  We try at least once a week, during one of our Family Fun Days, to go on a bike riding adventure.  This past Wednesday we rode from Chester, NY to Goshen, NY and back again for a total of 7.67 miles, the most we have done yet!  Biking is not only fun, but it’s a great way to enjoy nature, be outside, and best of all it’s free!

I was so excited when we went bike riding because I got to try out my new Po Campo Kinga Handlebar bike bag that my mother got me as an early birthday present.  My birthday’s not till November, but we always do things early.  I originally wanted a basket for my bike, but then I found Po Campo and fell in love with their Kinga Handlebar bike bags because not only are they beautiful, weather-proof, and durable, they are also totally unique and easily become a crossbody bag so if you are bike riding and need to run into a store you can easily remove your handlebar bag, and tah-dah you’ve got a purse!

Po Campo is an awesome company.  They are “a woman-run and design-led small business devoted to making the very best bags for modern active lifestyles.”  Not only that, but Po Campo is also a proud partner of World Bicycle Relief.

The Kinga Handlebar Bag easily attaches and detaches from your handlebars.  Leather straps and Velcro hold it firmly in place.  And although it looks small, it’s not small by any means!  I was able to fit a 20oz water bottle in there along with my phone and a rock (more on that in a bit) with room to spare.  And that’s not including the additional inside and outside pockets that I didn’t utilize.  I love that if I needed to I could put my wallet in it, go bike riding somewhere, detach my Kinga Handlebar Bag, quickly attach the crossbody strap and now I’ve got a purse!  It’s truly multi-functional.  Just check out these awesome features:

So you’re probably wondering what type of “rock” I put into my Kinga Handlebar Bag.  As my husband and I were setting off on the bike trail from the old Erie Railroad Station in Chester, NY he found a beautiful decorated rock made by a group called The Kindness Rocks Project.

WHAT IS THE KINDNESS ROCKS PROJECT….

GOAL #1: INSPIRE OTHERS THROUGH RANDOMLY PLACED ROCKS ALONG THE WAY…

GOAL #2: RECRUIT EVERY PERSON WHO STUMBLES UPON IT TO JOIN IN THE PURSUIT OF INSPIRING OTHERS THROUGH RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS”

The rock we found said “Believe In Yourself”.  How awesome is that?  On the back of the stone is directed me to read more about the Kindness Rocks Project online.  I put the rock in my bag so I could relocate it for someone else to find and keep spreading the kindness.  I love what the Kindness Rocks Project stands for.  I love the message of positivity.  We definitely need more of that in this world.  I am planning on making some of my own for the Kindness Rocks Project and helping to spread some peace and love throughout the world.
