Finding Balance

I always find it interesting when seemingly unrelated things end up coming together to lead you to something greater than you could have imagined.  An experience like this is what led to me to Oola and living Oola is a HUGE part of the M.U.D. Life.

41Gn8uGpCZL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_Here is the string of seemingly unrelated events that brought me to Oola.  2 1/2 years ago I was working with a health coach.  During one of our weekly sessions, she suggested that I should look into using essential oils.  I remembered seeing that an old friend of mine from high school was using essential oils and posting about it on her Facebook.  I reached out to my friend and she introduced me to Young Living.  After doing some research, I joined Young Living and have never looked back.  At that time, Young Living offered two oils called Oola Balance and Oola Grow.  I had no idea what Oola was, and somewhere along the line I had googled it, but never went any further.  As I started getting healthier by working with my health coach, I decided to google Oola again and ended up on their website and this time really took the time to read what they had to say, and I was really impressed.  They were selling a book called Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World and I decided to buy it.  I didn’t think a book could literally change my outlook on life, but boy was I wrong!

“What is Oola®? Oola is a state of awesomeness. It’s living a life that is balanced and growing in the seven key areas of health and well-being. It’s unlocking the potential for greatness that lies within each of us. It’s finding true purpose and meaning for your life. The OolaGuys, Dr. Dave Braun (OolaSeeker) and Dr. Troy Amdahl (OolaGuru), have identified seven key areas that people need to balance and grow to live a rich and fulfilled life.”

oola-challenge-balance-and-growOola is all about embracing life, but it’s also so much more than that.  It is about balancing life and finding your happiness.  Oola talks about finding balance in seven key areas: Faith, Family, Fun, Fitness, Friends, Finance, and Field.  Oola taught me to literally look at life differently.  It taught me how to look at money and debt differently.  Just all around, through the stories and lessons that this book contains it made me look at everything differently.  After I read the book, and shared some of it with my husband, he read the book and felt the exact same way I did.  Together we embraced Oola and everyday strive to live the most balanced, happiest Oola life that we can.  My copy of Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World is literally all highlighted and underlined.  So many things spoke to me.

Since the book came out, the Oola Guys have been traveling around the U.S. in a 70’s VW MicroBus collecting the dreams of people they encounter.  They call this the “Dream Tour”.

Changing The World With A Word:

The OolaGuys are on a mission to change the world with a word (#Oola) by collecting 1,000,000 dreams in the form of handwritten stickers on the side of a vintage 1970 VW Surf Bus. By inspiring positive change, the OolaGuys are on a mission to guide people toward finding more balance and growth in the 7 key areas of life – the 7 F’s of Oola (Fitness, Finance, Family, Field, Faith, Friends and Fun). By removing the stress from a life out of balance, you will be able to reveal the greatness and purpose that is inside all of us. A better “you”, makes a better family, a better community, and ultimately a better world.”

I unfortunately missed the Oola Guys when they came through my town two summers ago.  I am hoping to eventually meet them in person because they are truly inspiring and have changed my life and my husband’s life for the better.  And don’t think these are just authors that sit on the sidelines.  You can message them on Facebook and they will get back to you personally.  They truly love their fans and are truly 100% behind Oola and their message.

But, how does Oola relate to the M.U.D. Lifestyle?  Oola taught me to embrace life.  As I started embracing the Oola principles and making them work in my life, I realized that I was living a completely different lifestyle that I decided to call M.U.D.: Mindful, Unique, Decisions.  Everyday by living Oola I am Mindful about my daily life.  I am Mindful how everything I do can either propel my life forward or backward.  I know that everything I do is Unique to me.  The Oola guys shared their stories about what helped them find Oola, and everyday I live my own story.  Oola has taught me to look at the Decisions I make differently.  I want to make sure that I am living the best life I can and each Decision I make can take me closer or further from my Oola life.  So, I guess you can say M.U.D. is an offshoot of Oola.  It’s my own personal journey based around Oola principles.  Living my M.U.D. Lifestyle helps me get closer to Oola.  Every.  Single.  Day.

71QBD2zNtuL._AC_UL320_SR208,320_The Oola guys recently came out with another book called Oola For Women.  They have also released more essential oils through Young Living that celebrate the 7 F’s of Oola and is called the Infused 7 Kit (although you can also buy the oils individually).

My husband and I have a magnetic board up in our dining room.  When the New Year began, we wrote down all our Oola goals for the year and we constantly look at it and discuss if we are meeting our goals, and you know what?  We are.  Oola is the lifestyle that fuels M.U.D.  Check Oola’s two books out for yourself.  I promise you, you won’t be disappointed and will never look at life the same way again.

This is my own personal review and I have not received any compensation for it.  Follow me on BlogLovin and Instagram.
